UV Resin 3 1/2 oz - 100 g

UV resin advantages:

• It cures in a few minutes, depending on the thickness, under UV lamp, black light or LED lamp.
• Ready for use, no mixing necessary.
• It is resistant and totally transparent.
• As a gel, it makes it possible to work precisely and get pretty bulges.

Possible applications:

• Create pieces (cabochons, miniatures, etc.) of perfectly transparent using molds in which you can include all kinds of decorations (particles of metal sheets, microbeads, mini diamonds, etc.)
• Protect, like a varnish, all the surface effects on your polymer pieces (pastels, mica powders, silkscreen prints, gilding waxes, etc.) with a nice depth effect
• Imitate precious stones and jewels

How to use:

• Shaking the bottle a few tens of seconds to mix the resin
• Apply on the piece by pouring gently to avoid bubbles
• Spread with a brush or a tooth pick
• To remove bubbles, pierce the larger ones with a sharp point, use a flame quickly passed over the surface of the resin to plop smaller bubbles.
• Wait a few seconds for the surface to be perfectly smoothed
• Cure under direct sunlight (long), UV LED or UV lamp (faster) by protecting your piece from dust (under a glass bell for example)
• In case of slight side overflow on the sides of your piece, you can sand the resin sides with 360 to 1000 grit abrasives.

Curing time:

• Less than 10 minutes under UV light (36 W)
• Maybe more in the case of an LED UV lamp
• 10 to 30 minutes in full sun.
• Up to 1 hour under cloudy skies.

Precautions:

• Close the bottle as soon as you have finished pouring the resin.
• Store away from heat, light and frost.
• Wear gloves and goggles, avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• Ventilate your work area correctly.

The bottles are not filled to the brim but they contain the indicated quantity of resin.
