UV Resin 7/8 oz - 25 g

UV resin has many advantages:

• It cures in a few minutes, depending on the thickness, under UV lamp, black light or LED lamp.
• No mixing is necessary, the resin is ready for use.
• It is perfectly transparent and resistant.
• Its gel shape makes it possible to work with precision and to obtain pretty bulges.

Possible applications:

• Protect, like a varnish, all the surface effects on your polymer pieces (pastels, mica powders, silkscreen prints, gilding waxes, etc.) with a nice depth effect
• Create pieces (cabochons, miniatures, etc.) of perfectly transparent using molds in which you can include all kinds of decorations (particles of metal sheets, microbeads, mini diamonds, etc.)
• Make imitations of precious stones and jewels

Manual:

• Mix the resin well by shaking the bottle a few tens of seconds
• Apply on the piece by pouring gently to avoid bubbles
• Spread with a toothpick or brush
• To remove any bubbles, pierce the larger bubbles with a sharp point, use a flame passed quickly over the surface of the resin to remove smaller bubbles.
• Wait a few seconds for the surface to be perfectly smoothed
• Cure under UV LED, UV lamp or sunlight (longer) by protecting your piece from dust (under a glass bell for example)
• If the resin has slightly overflowed on the sides of your piece, you can sand it using 360 to 1000 grit abrasives.

Curing time:

• 3 to 10 minutes under UV light (36 W)
• A bit more in the case of an LED UV lamp
• 10 to 30 minutes in full sun in good weather
• Up to 1 hour in natural light in case of cloudy skies.

Precautions:

• Store away from heat, light and frost.
• Close the bottle as soon as you have finished pouring the resin.
• Ventilate your work area correctly.
• Wear gloves and goggles, avoid contact with eyes and skin

The bottles are not filled to the brim but they contain the indicated quantity of resin.
