Japan Stencil

Artemio stencils can be used to create patterns on polymer clay, fabric, terra-cotta, wood etc.

Put the stencil on the clay, shiny side upward, press lightly to place it using a roller, then dab the paint, pastel, powders etc. which is layed down through the patterns.

Take it off before it dries and wash it with clear or soapy water, rubbing it with a soft brush.

This not a silk-screen (no weft) but a traditional stencil. So, you can use some mediums (as alcohol inks) which can't be used with silk screens (alcohol gradually destroys the surface of the screen)
