Metal oven thermometer KATO. Graduated from 100 to 500 °F (50 to 250 °C) with an area between 266 and 338 °F (130 to 170 °C) which is the ideal KATO baking temperature. You can obviously use it with other clay brands.

At the start of the preheating, put the thermometer in the oven so you can read it from outside.
When the right temp is reached, you can bake your pieces.
Make sure the temperature remains stable during baking and modify it if necessary.
Wear a protecting glove to remove the thermometer.

The baking temperature of your creations is very important. A wrong baking can lead to risks of breakage, an incomplete polymerization. A too high temp will burn your creations, draken colors and generate unpleasant odors and smokes. Oven temperatures are not very precise so it's essential to use a thermometer.
