Swellegant Silver Metal Coating

Swellegant Metal Coating is a metallic fluid containing true real metal particles. 5 effects are available: Brass, Bronze, Iron, Silver and Copper. You can give a metal look to your pieces but also age them, give them a patina or rust them, thanks to Patinas (see here)

As the polymer clay is not porous enough, it is necessary to first put a layer of preparative coating (PREP: see here). As for other products in the range: mix and shake well before use, then cover your piece of a layer of Metal Coating using a brush (same type as for acrylic paint) It may take 2 or 3 layers, in some cases, to fully cover the entire surface.

Let dry. It's quite fast, from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness. But if you are impatient you can speed up the drying with a hair dryer or a heat gun, keep a safe distance not to burn your piece.

Metal Coatings can be mixed together to create your own colors according to the need of your project or just to experiment.

You can also add mica powders (not in very big quantity at the risk of losing the adhesion)

You can add DYE Oxides, the shades of the Swellegant range, to add colors to your metals.

Wipe your gloves well and clean your tools between each metal color to avoid polluting the colors between them. Material can be cleaned with water if the paint is not dry (like acrylic)
